The ERP Project Manager is responsible for analyzing existing business processes and incorporating them into the Company’s ERP Systems. In addition, this role will lead projects to support data conversion and implementation of business, manufacturing, sales and service software.

With a Lean/Continuous Improvement mentality, this position will present new process designs and solutions to stakeholders, develop or update existing standard work procedures and implement approved changes and facilitate the flow of information, components and people to provide solutions to ensure current business processes flow through the system.

  • Leader of the ERP implementation team; oversee data conversion
  • Responsible for managing projects and ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and executed efficiently.
  • Provide frequent updates to appropriate parties; must use project management methodologies and tools for managing projects.
  • Administer and effectively communicate goals and take away assignments from all project meetings with internal team and outside consultants.
  • Partner with various departments to revise existing and develop new standard operating procedures.
  • Get all necessary input from functional areas for gap analysis and participate in design of new processes.
  • Develop criteria for each functional area for system testing.
  • Coach, mentor, and advise leaders in functional areas on software functionality and business event testing procedures and acceptable outcomes.
  • Assign testing schedule, ensure all testing is completed.
  • Partner with ERP Data Implementation Specialist on data cleanup, migration mapping, integration and validation of imported data.
  • Lead pilot testing event planning, preparation and data validation.
  • Ensure “failed” test scenarios are remapped and able to flow through the system.
  • Develop and build training manual for all ERP systems and develop an action plan to train end-users.
  • Lead Go Live initiative. Serve as main contact person for all functional users during go live phase. Provide post Go Live support and develop internal ticket system.
  • Assist with a plan for post Go Live data integrity.
  • Develop a system to audit processes to ensure they are being followed according to standard work procedures.
  • Assist with implementing automated workflow processes within ERP according to project schedules.
  • Lead ERP upgrades, multi-platform system integrations and analysis of customization/”add-on” software requests.
  • Apply Lean methodologies to develop tools and processes to reduce rework and waste while increasing compliance and profitability.

Success requires the following…

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalent is required with five plus (5+) years of relevant experience.
  • Three plus (3+) years of project management experience required.
  • Knowledge of distribution required; service management and manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Lean/Continuous Improvement experience a benefit.
  • Ability to lead/manage others with previous successful supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, Microsoft Office and Windows is a must; experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
  • Ability to teach others, facilitate team projects and motivate people to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to identify project/user needs, listen, analyze, and respond appropriately to existing issues.
  • Demonstrate solid organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both in writing and verbally, with people of various educational and technical backgrounds, both inside and outside the company.
  • Customer service experience dealing directly with the customer to troubleshoot and solve issues.
  • Excellent time management skills while working under tight deadlines.
