Why Air Treatment Is Critical
When air is compressed, it heats up — and as it cools in the distribution piping, the water vapor it carries condenses into liquid water. Without proper drying and filtration, this moisture accumulates in air lines, pneumatic tools, valves, cylinders, and spray equipment. The consequences include: rust and scale in piping and equipment, frozen air lines in cold climates, product contamination in food, pharma, and paint applications, premature failure of pneumatic tools and cylinders, and inconsistent pressure regulation.

Air Dryers We Carry
Refrigerated Air Dryers — The most common dryer type for industrial facilities. Refrigerated dryers cool compressed air to 35–50°F (pressure dew point), condensing and draining moisture automatically. Available in non-cycling and cycling (energy-saving) models. Ideal for general manufacturing, automotive, metalworking, and most industrial applications.
Desiccant Air Dryers — For applications requiring a pressure dew point of -40°F or lower. Desiccant (adsorption) dryers use beads of activated alumina or molecular sieve to adsorb moisture to very low levels. Required for outdoor piping in cold climates, instrument air, and pharmaceutical or semiconductor manufacturing.
Membrane Dryers — Compact, no-power-required dryers using hollow fiber membranes. Ideal for point-of-use applications, remote locations, and portable systems where electricity is unavailable.
Compressed Air Filters We Carry
Air filtration removes oil aerosols, water, and particulates to the level your application requires. Brabazon carries the full filter range: Pre-filters (remove large particles and water droplets before the dryer), Coalescing filters (remove oil aerosols and fine water droplets — rated to 0.01 micron), Particulate filters (remove dry dust and dirt downstream of the dryer), and Activated carbon filters (remove oil vapor and odors — required for food, beverage, and breathable air).
Proper filter selection follows the ISO 8573-1 air quality standard. Brabazon's specialists will help you identify the right filtration train for your required air quality class.
